The Odyssey Surpasses $700M in 12 Days, Eyes Billion-Dollar Club
A movie called The Odyssey, made by director Christopher Nolan, is doing really well at the box office.
In just 12 days, it earned more than $700 million from people all over the world.
It made about $320 million in North America and $407 million in other countries.
The film will open in China on August 14, where it could add even more money.
Even though other big movies like Spider‑Man are coming out, The Odyssey is expected to keep making a lot of money and might become Nolan’s highest‑grossing film ever.
The Odyssey has grossed $727.9 million worldwide in 12 days, surpassing $700 million.
It earned $320.5 million in North America and $407.4 million internationally, ranking fourth among 2026 Hollywood releases.
The film is projected to join the billion‑dollar club after its August 14 China release on nearly 800 IMAX screens.
Despite competition from Sony and Marvel’s Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, Variety estimates a third‑weekend take of $50–60 million.
The Odyssey is expected to become Nolan’s highest‑grossing film, potentially overtaking The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.
