Kishau Project Pact Aims to Strengthen Shekhawati Water Security

Six states agreed to work together on the Kishau Multipurpose Project.

The project will be built on the Tons River near Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

It is meant to provide both water and electricity.

Rajasthan is expected to receive 124 million cubic metres of water.

Underground pipelines would carry this water to Churu through Haryana.

The water could help people in Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu and nearby areas.

It may be used for drinking, farming and other needs.

The project is intended to improve water security and support development in Shekhawati.
