Army Commando Dies in Kishtwar Operation
A brave soldier named Havildar Gajendra Singh was hurt while fighting against bad people in a forest in Kishtwar.
He was taken to the hospital, but he didn't survive.
The army and local people helped him, and they are very sad about what happened.
The army is now trying to find the bad people who hurt him.
The army found a hideout with food and cooking stuff, which is worrying because it means the bad people might stay hidden for a long time.
The army is using drones and helicopters to find them, but the forest is very thick and makes it hard.
Havildar Gajendra Singh of the Special Forces was critically injured during a counter-terrorism operation in Chhatru, Kishtwar.
He succumbed to his injuries on 19 January 2026.
The Army’s White Knight Corps paid tribute to his courage and sacrifice.
Eight soldiers, including Havildar Gajendra Singh, were injured when militants lobbed a grenade.
The army is intensifying its hunt for the terrorists involved, using drones and helicopters, but the rugged terrain and thick vegetation pose challenges.
