IndiGo Proposes Refunds and Crisis Plan to Settle CCI Case

IndiGo Proposes Refunds and Crisis Plan to Settle CCI Case

IndiGo, a major Indian airline, is trying to settle a case with the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

The CCI is investigating IndiGo for allegedly mistreating passengers during flight cancellations.

To resolve the issue, IndiGo has proposed several measures.

These include setting up a crisis management team, giving up unused airport slots during big disruptions, offering automatic refunds, and protecting passengers from fare hikes.

They also plan to provide alternative flights, meals, and special assistance to passengers affected by disruptions.

The CCI is now asking for public opinions on these proposals before deciding whether to accept them.

IndiGo maintains that the disruptions were due to unforeseen circumstances, while the CCI believes IndiGo may have abused its dominant position.
