Telugu Film Industry Signs MOU With Japan
The Telugu Film Industry in India and the Japanese Film and Anime industry, represented by CODA, have signed an important agreement.
This agreement, called an MOU, will help them share ideas and work together to stop illegal copying and sharing of movies and shows.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana supported this agreement and promised to help the film industries.
The Japanese team visited the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce to finalize the agreement and were impressed by the efforts to fight piracy.
This is the first time an Indian film industry has made such a formal agreement with the Japanese film industry.
The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) and CODA (Japan) signed an MOU to combat digital piracy and share best practices.
Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka expressed support for the agreement and the film industries' anti-piracy efforts.
The Japanese delegation acknowledged the growing popularity of both Japanese content in India and Telugu films in Japan.
The MOU includes knowledge sharing, joint campaigns against digital piracy, and examining software tools used by TFCC’s Anti Video Piracy Cell (AVPC).
