Adilabad Collector Directs Millers to Expedite Custom Milled Rice Delivery
Imagine a farmer grows rice, and then it gets sent to a special mill to be prepared.
The government has rules about when this prepared rice, called custom milled rice (CMR), needs to be delivered.
The top official in Adilabad, the Collector, told the mill owners that they must hurry up and deliver the rice on time.
They need to finish delivering all the rice by the end of December.
If they don't, they could get into trouble.
The Collector also said they should only use loans for their mills based on how much they can actually mill, following rules from a big food company.
Mill owners need to plan their work each week and tell the Collector how they are doing.
Adilabad District Collector Rajarshi Shah has ordered rice millers to speed up the custom milled rice (CMR) delivery process.
Millers must complete milling and supply of CMR within government-stipulated timelines.
Failure to deliver CMR according to the schedule may result in action under the RR Act.
100% CMR supply for the district must be completed by the end of December.
Millers are instructed to prepare weekly action plans and submit progress reports, and to utilize bank loans according to milling capacity and FCI guidelines.
