MNS Seeks Fever Profile Testing At Nerul, Karave Centres

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena wants two local health centres to offer more fever tests.

These centres are in Sector 48, Nerul, and Sector 36, Karave.

The request comes as illnesses such as dengue and malaria become more common during the monsoon.

Right now, doctors often start by ordering a malaria test.

If that test is negative, patients may need to wait about two days for more tests.

People seeking dengue testing must travel nearly four kilometres to Meenatai Thackeray Hospital.

A Fever Profile checks for several illnesses, including dengue, malaria, typhoid and leptospirosis.

NMMC said it would start the service at the two centres as soon as possible.
