Air India Launches EasyRoam Travel SIM Plans From Rs 241
Air India and Tata Communications have introduced EasyRoam for people travelling abroad.
It lets travellers use mobile data and voice services while overseas.
People can choose a physical SIM card or an eSIM.
The SIM is initially free, but customers must pay for a roaming plan.
Plans for 30 countries start at Rs 241 before taxes.
Travellers can choose a plan for one destination or a worldwide plan, with data-only or voice-and-data service.
Some customers who buy a data plan get up to 1GB of extra data, except in Maldives and Mauritius.
EasyRoam is available through Air India’s website and is expected to come to its app later.
Air India says coverage will gradually grow to as many as 190 countries.
