KTR Appears Before SIT in Phone-Tapping Case
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Hyderabad is investigating a phone-tapping case that happened during the previous BRS government's time.
They have asked a former minister, KT Rama Rao (KTR), to come and talk to them on Friday at 11 am.
This is part of their investigation.
Earlier, another former minister, T Harish Rao, was questioned for over seven hours.
The SIT went to KTR's house to give him the notice.
The BRS party thinks the investigation is baseless and a way to distract from other issues.
They say that surveillance is normal for national security.
The SIT believes they are doing their job properly to find out the truth.
KTR thinks the investigation is politically motivated and that senior officials should be questioned instead of political leaders.
BRS workers protested against the Chief Minister as KTR appeared before the SIT.
KTR criticized the investigation, calling it a diversionary tactic and accused the government of character assassination.
The SIT issued a notice to KT Rama Rao (KTR) to appear on Friday at 11 am as part of the phone-tapping case investigation.
The notice follows the SIT's questioning of T Harish Rao for over seven hours on Tuesday.
KTR criticized the investigation, calling it baseless and politically motivated, and questioned why senior officials were not being summoned.
BRS workers protested against Telangana CM Revanth Reddy near Jubilee Hills police station as KTR arrived to face SIT interrogation.
KTR claimed he had been dealing with severe character assassination for the past seven to eight years and asserted he had never been involved in illegal activities.
