Viral Zendaya Lookalike Video Fuels Celebrity Replacement Theory
A video went viral on the internet showing a woman who looks very much like the famous actress Zendaya.
Some people watching the video started to believe a strange idea: that real celebrities get secretly swapped out with lookalikes.
A golfer named Matt Wallace shared the video and said celebrities get switched all the time.
But the woman in the video is not Zendaya at all.
She is a lookalike who appeared on a French YouTube show where people who look like famous stars are ranked.
A French viewer even pointed out that she is Zendaya's lookalike.
There is no proof that Zendaya was replaced.
Sometimes videos can trick us, but this one was just a fun show with someone who looks like a big star.
A viral video showing a woman resembling Zendaya fueled an unfounded 'celebrity replacement' theory on social media.
The clip was shared on X by golfer Matt Wallace, who claimed celebrities are routinely switched out without people noticing.
The woman is a Zendaya lookalike, not Zendaya herself, and appears in French YouTuber Amixem's 'On juge 50 sosies' series.
French social media users identified the footage, clarifying that the woman is Zendaya's lookalike ('le sosie de Zendaya').
No evidence suggests Zendaya has been replaced; the footage comes from a show built entirely around ranking celebrity doubles.
