Arunachal Pradesh Leads in PMMVY Enrollment, Districts Ranked Top
The government has a program called Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) to help pregnant women and new mothers, especially those who need financial help.
In Arunachal Pradesh, two districts, Anjaw and Pakke Kessang, did a great job getting women signed up for the program, ranking first and second in the country.
This helped Arunachal Pradesh move up in the rankings among all states.
However, some districts in the state haven't done as well, so officials are working to reach more women and make sure everyone gets the support they need.
Anjaw district in Arunachal Pradesh achieved 354% of its PMMVY enrollment target, ranking first in India.
Pakke Kessang district secured the second position nationally with 313% enrollment progress.
Arunachal Pradesh has improved its overall PMMVY ranking to 6th among all states and union territories.
