Delta Pilot Didn't Recall Instructions Before NYC Airport Ground Collision, NTSB Report Says
Imagine two toy airplanes on a big playground.
One plane was getting ready to fly, and the other was just landing.
The person in charge of the first plane was told by the traffic controller to let the other plane go first.
But that pilot said he was busy looking at his checklist and didn't remember being told to wait.
When he looked up, he saw the other plane and tried to turn away, but the planes still bumped into each other.
One flight attendant got a little hurt, and the planes got a bit damaged.
Investigators are still figuring out exactly why this happened.

The collision occurred on October 1 between Delta flights 5155 and 5047 on taxiways.
Flight 5155, preparing for takeoff, made contact with the fuselage of the arriving Flight 5047.
The NTSB preliminary report indicates the pilot of Flight 5155 was focused on cockpit checklists and calculations.
One flight attendant was injured, and both aircraft sustained damage in the low-speed collision.
