Gold Futures Dip on Strong Dollar and Fed Stance
Gold prices went down a little on Thursday.
The money in the United States was strong, which made gold less attractive.
The big bank in Washington, called the Federal Reserve, said it would keep interest rates the same for now.
Because of that, people who buy and sell gold were a bit nervous.
The price of gold on the Indian market fell a little, and the price in New York also went down a tiny bit.
Gold futures slipped to Rs 1.41 lakh per 10 grams on a firm US dollar.
August delivery contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange fell by Rs 181 to Rs 1,41,600 per 10 grams.
October contract declined by Rs 252 to Rs 1,43,031 per 10 grams.
Comex gold futures for August delivery in New York traded at $4,031.70 per ounce.
The Federal Reserve kept the federal funds rate unchanged at 3.5‑3.75% and said it would maintain ample reserves.
