HC Orders Probe on Developer with Minimal Funds
The Bombay High Court is very upset because a developer named Darshan Developers has very little money in their bank accounts but is selling a lot of flats (531 to be exact).
The court thinks this is very strange and wants to know how this can happen.
They also think the developer might not be telling the truth and might be involved in something illegal like money laundering.
The court has asked the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) to investigate and make sure everything is fair for the people who live in the slums and are supposed to get new homes.
The court also wants the developer to explain where all the money from selling the flats went.
They will talk about this again on January 9.
