Omar Abdullah is the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said he regularly speaks with Home Minister Amit Shah about problems between Jammu and Kashmir and the central government.

One important issue is whether Jammu and Kashmir will get statehood back.

Other issues involve government rules, an advocate general and a reservation report.

Abdullah also spoke about a new international film festival being held in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the festival could help students, movie fans and local filmmakers.

He criticized the demolition of a mosque in Saharanpur and said Muslims should not be treated as outsiders.

He also said the government should quickly resolve medical interns’ hunger strike because their work and training are being affected.
