Police issue notice to SP leader over protest call
The police in Lucknow have asked a Samajwadi Party leader, Sumaiya Rana, to go to court.
This is because she asked people to protest outside the Chief Minister's house and the state assembly.
The police think this could cause trouble.
They want her to give a big amount of money as a promise to keep the peace.
Sumaiya says she wanted to file a complaint against another leader but the police did not listen.
She plans to go to court to ask them to register her complaint.
Lucknow Police issued a notice to SP leader Sumaiya Rana to appear in court over her call to protest.
Rana was asked to furnish a personal bond of Rs 5 lakh to maintain peace for a year.
The notice was issued due to concerns over law and order and security of dignitaries.
Rana had called for a protest against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and state minister Sanjay Nishad.
Rana claims she was denied registration of her complaint against the leaders.
