NIIT University Opens AI Centre for Student Learning
NIIT University has opened a centre where students and researchers can work with artificial intelligence.
It gives them computers and tools to try out AI projects.
They can learn how AI models are trained, adjusted and put to use.
The centre supports topics such as generative AI, robotics and computer vision.
It can serve up to 30 people at once.
Students, teachers and research scholars can use it for classes, projects and research.
The university also plans workshops, hackathons and other activities.
The goal is to help people practise using AI, not just study it in theory.
NIIT University launched an Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence for students, faculty and research scholars.
The centre provides infrastructure and tools for AI learning, experimentation and research.
It supports work in machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, edge AI and agentic AI.
The facility has three YodaEdge devices and can accommodate up to 30 concurrent users.
Planned activities include workshops, faculty development programmes, hackathons and industry interaction sessions.
