JU Alumnus Donates Lab Equipment Worth ₹30 Lakh
Imagine a school that needs some new tools for its labs.
Well, an old student, who now lives far away, gave the school some very important and expensive equipment, worth a lot of money.
This person, who used to study there a long time ago, wants the school to keep in touch with the graduates, so they feel more connected and want to help out.
The school is finding it hard to get enough money, and the former student hopes that people who used to go there will give money to help the school.
A Jadavpur University (JU) alumnus donated lab equipment worth ₹30 lakh.
Dipak Ghosh, a 1987 chemical engineering graduate, made the donation.
The equipment includes instruments for petroleum testing, spectroscopy, and photochemical reactions.
Ghosh emphasized the need for JU to foster stronger alumni connections for fundraising.
JU is currently facing a financial shortfall due to insufficient funding from state and central sources.
