Modi Says 7.8% GDP Growth Shows India’s Economic Strength

India’s economy grew by 7.8% in the first three months of the financial year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this showed that the country’s economy was strong.

He said the growth happened even while there was conflict in West Asia and challenges involving trade.

More people buying cars and greater use of steel and cement were presented as signs of economic activity.

Modi said India was attracting more partnerships with other countries.

He said trade agreements had opened new markets for Indian products and services.

He believes India can become a developed and self-reliant country.

He also said Indian companies and young people could play a larger role around the world.
