FSSAI Flags Hygiene Violations at Two Delhi Five-Star Hotels

India’s food-safety regulator inspected two luxury hotels in Delhi.

It said both hotels had problems with cleanliness, pests and food storage.

At Andaz Delhi, inspectors found about 87 kilograms of expired sweets and other expired food.

They also reported cockroaches, flies, mosquitoes and spider webs.

At JW Marriott, inspectors found spoiled food, fungal growth, rotten tomatoes and unclean kitchen areas.

Officials also reported problems with food licences, labels, water and temperature control.

The regulator collected food samples for testing.

Both hotels must fix the reported problems and explain what they have done.
