Jio-bp Caps Diesel Sales as Global Supply Pressures Intensify

Jio-bp has placed limits on how much diesel customers can buy at one time.

Each fill-up is reportedly limited to 50 litres.

Each outlet may also sell no more than 6,000 litres of diesel per day.

The company says its stations are open and have enough fuel.

It says the limits are meant to share fuel fairly among transport, industrial, and other customers.

Truck drivers say the limit makes long journeys harder because they need more fuel.

Diesel supplies around the world have tightened because shipping routes have been disrupted.

Russian fuel exports and refinery operations have also been affected.

India’s diesel exports fell in August compared with July and the same month last year.
