India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 Begins
India Post has started a big hiring process for 28,740 jobs in villages.
These jobs are called Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Post Master (BPM), and Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM).
People who want to apply can do so online from January 31 to February 14, 2026.
They need to pay a small fee of Rs 100, but some people like SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates don't have to pay.
After applying, they can make changes to their application on February 18 and 19.
The list of people who did well will come out on February 28, 2026.
To apply, you need to have passed Class 10 and be between 18 and 40 years old.
The salary for these jobs is between Rs 10,000 and Rs 29,380, depending on the job.
India Post has announced 28,740 vacancies for GDS, BPM, and ABPM positions across 23 postal circles.
Applications started on January 31, 2026, and will close on February 14, 2026.
Candidates must pay a registration fee of Rs 100, with exemptions for SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates.
The application fee can be paid until February 16, 2026, and corrections can be made on February 18-19, 2026.
The first merit list is scheduled to be released on February 28, 2026, based on Class 10 marks.
