DTC overhauls contractual conductor hiring through private agency
The Delhi Transport Corporation is changing how some bus conductors are employed.
Existing contract conductors will now be hired through a private agency.
This change starts immediately.
The conductors will still follow DTC’s instructions while working.
DTC will continue deciding their routes, work locations and duty timings.
The conductors’ everyday jobs will not change.
They must register with the agency and provide documents.
Missing the deadline could make it difficult for them to keep working.
DTC has ordered all existing contractual conductors to be re-hired through a designated private agency.
The new arrangement took effect immediately and is intended to streamline DTC’s administrative and operational systems.
Conductors’ daily responsibilities, deployment areas, duty timings and bus routes will remain under DTC’s control.
Affected conductors must register with the agency and submit required documents for verification.
Failure to complete verification by the specified deadline could affect continuation under the revised arrangement.
