Kolkata Police Summon Former TMC MLA Over Billboard Office Scuffle
Police want to question Humayun Kabir about a fight at a Trinamool Congress office.
The fight happened on August 27 when officials tried to remove a billboard.
Police say some party supporters stopped officials and attacked or harassed police personnel.
The police also named several political figures in two of the cases.
Fourteen people have been arrested so far.
Kabir says the billboard should not have been removed without proper notice and procedure.
Derek O’Brien says police entered the office with an illegal notice and that reports about resistance by guards were false.
Fire officials separately ordered the seventh and eighth floors of the office to be vacated because of safety problems.
