Maharashtra ATS Conducts Thane Searches in Terror Case
Imagine the police are trying to make sure everyone is safe from bad guys.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad, like a special police team, went to a place called Thane to look for clues.
They searched a village and a house.
They were looking for anything that could be connected to terrorism, which is when people try to scare or hurt others.
They are trying to find out if anyone is planning something dangerous.
Last year, another group searched the same area, looking for people connected to a dangerous group called ISIS.
They are trying to stop anything bad from happening.
Maharashtra ATS conducted searches in Thane district.
Searches included the residence of Saquib Nachan.
Nachan is a former office-bearer of the banned SIMI.
Searches were part of a terrorism-related investigation.
The operation began Monday morning in Padgha village.
