ED Seizes Cars in YouTuber's Betting Case
The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in India has been investigating a case of illegal online betting and gambling.
They conducted searches at several locations and seized luxury cars and other assets belonging to a YouTuber named Anurag Dwivedi.
The ED believes that Dwivedi was involved in promoting illegal betting platforms and laundering money.
They have frozen assets worth millions of rupees and are continuing their investigation.
Dwivedi is currently in Dubai and has not appeared before the ED despite being summoned multiple times.
ED conducted searches at nine locations across five cities in connection with an illegal betting case.
Two luxury cars belonging to YouTuber Anurag Dwivedi were seized, along with incriminating documents and digital devices.
Earlier, four luxury vehicles and Rs 20 lakh in cash were seized from Dwivedi's properties.
The ED alleges that Dwivedi promoted illegal betting platforms and acquired properties in Dubai through hawala channels.
The investigation was initiated based on an FIR by the West Bengal Police, and assets worth Rs 27 crore have been frozen or attached.
