Kolkata Metro Adds Weekend Services Ahead of Durga Puja
Kolkata Metro is adding more trains on four weekend days before Durga Puja.
The special dates are October 3, 4, 10 and 11.
On Saturdays, the Blue, Green and Yellow lines will have extra services.
On Sundays, only the Blue and Green lines will get more trains.
The Yellow Line will keep its usual number of Sunday services.
The Purple Line will follow its normal schedule on Saturdays and have no services on Sundays.
The Orange Line will have no services on both Saturdays and Sundays, as usual.
The first and last train times will not change.
One report mentioned only the Blue and Green lines, while another detailed additional Saturday services on the Yellow Line as well.
Additional Metro services are scheduled on October 3, 4, 10 and 11 before Durga Puja.
On Saturdays, Blue Line services will increase to 272, Green Line services to 236 and Yellow Line services to 120.
On Sundays, Blue Line services will increase to 188 and Green Line services to 125.
The Yellow Line will run its normal 78 services on Sundays, with direct Jai Hind Bimanbandar–Dakshineswar services available instead of three.
First and last train timings will remain unchanged; Purple and Orange Line arrangements will follow their usual weekend schedules.
