Madhya Pradesh secures Rs 8,635 crore investment proposals from Gujarat
Leaders from a state in India called Madhya Pradesh traveled to the city of Ahmedabad in the neighboring state of Gujarat.
They met with more than 500 business owners and company leaders.
The business owners promised to spend about Rs 8,635 crore on new projects in Madhya Pradesh.
These projects would create around 5,785 new jobs.
The money will go to many different industries, like cement, food, medicines, clothes, packaging, and even airplanes.
The biggest promise was for cement companies, worth Rs 3,000 crore.
The leader of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, said his state has good roads, electricity, water, and land for factories.
He invited the Gujarat business people to a big meeting called the Global Investors Summit in 2027.
He said Gujarat has experience and Madhya Pradesh has opportunities, and called the two states 'twin brothers.'
A leader from the Welspun Group said both states are growth engines of the country.
Madhya Pradesh received investment proposals worth Rs 8,635 crore at a mega investment dialogue with Gujarat's industrial sector in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
The proposed projects are expected to generate 5,785 jobs across sectors including cement, packaging, food processing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, engineering, chemicals, aerospace and defence.

The largest proposals included Rs 3,000 crore in cement by Goldcrest (1,500 jobs), Rs 2,500 crore in packaging (1,000 jobs), Rs 1,200 crore in food processing (500 jobs) and Rs 500 crore in pharmaceuticals (800 jobs).
The outreach aimed to encourage Gujarat-based businesses to participate in Madhya Pradesh's Global Investors Summit-2027 in Bhopal.
