Sagrada Familia Could Be Completed in Ten Years
Imagine a giant, amazing church in Spain called the Sagrada Familia!
It's been under construction for over a century, even before your grandparents were born.
The main architect, Antoni Gaudi, sadly passed away a long time ago, but the project continues.
The people in charge are hoping to finish the outside of the tallest tower in about ten years.
They are also planning a staircase, but some people are worried it might mean taking down some buildings.
The church gets lots of visitors, almost 5 million people visit each year!
The church will have three facades and 18 towers.
The Sagrada Familia basilica in Barcelona is nearing completion.
The project's leaders hope to finish in approximately 10 years.
Next year marks 100 years since architect Antoni Gaudi's death.
The main tower dedicated to Jesus Christ will be the tallest building in Barcelona.
Local authorities must approve plans for a staircase outside the main gate.
