RBI Set to Announce Higher Dividend Payout for FY24-25
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is about to announce how much money it will give to the government for the year 2024-25.
It is expected to be more than the previous year's payout of Rs 2.1 lakh crore.
The RBI's board will meet on May 23 to decide on this.
This transfer is based on how the economy is doing and is important for government finances.
The government anticipates receiving a substantial amount from the RBI and other financial institutions.
The central bank also considers interest rate cuts to support a slowing economy.
RBI is expected to announce a dividend payout for fiscal year 2024-25.
The payout is anticipated to exceed the previous year's record of Rs 2.1 lakh crore.
The decision will be finalized at the RBI’s Central Board of Directors meeting on May 23.
The Economic Capital Framework (ECF) guides the surplus transfer determination.
The Union Budget projects Rs 2.56 lakh crore dividend income from RBI and other financial institutions.
