BMW Driver Charged for Deliberate Delay in Medical Aid
A man named Navjot Singh was hit by a speeding BMW car driven by Gaganpreet Makkad.
The accident happened near a metro station in Delhi.
Instead of taking the injured people to a nearby hospital, the driver took them to a hospital far away, which took a long time.
The police say the driver was at fault and delayed helping the victims.
The driver is now in trouble for this.
The court has said there is enough proof and will hear the case more on February 2.
Navjot Singh, a 52-year-old finance ministry official, was killed in a BMW accident near Dhaula Kuan.
The BMW driver, Gaganpreet Makkad, is accused of deliberately delaying medical aid by taking victims to a distant hospital.
The accident occurred at 1:30 PM when Makkad's overspeeding BMW crashed into a metro pillar and hit Singh's motorcycle.
Makkad took the victims to Nulife Hospital in GTB Nagar, 20 km away, instead of nearby hospitals like AIIMS Trauma Centre.
The court has taken cognizance of the chargesheet and issued summons to the accused for further proceedings on February 2.
