Karnataka Bar Council Member Challenges Chairman’s Support Statement

Karnataka Bar Council Member Challenges Chairman’s Support Statement

A Karnataka State Bar Council member disagreed with a statement made by its nominated chairman.

The statement supported the chairman of the Bar Council of India.

The KSBC member was K Koteswar Rao.

The nominated chairman was V D Kamaraddi.

Rao said the chairman did not have the authority to issue the statement for the council.

He also said the statement used the council’s official letterhead.

Rao believed the action was arbitrary and condemnable.

He said other KSBC members were not consulted.

The disagreement was described in a letter sent to the KSBC chairman and secretary.
