Cyprus Offers Financial Aid and Work Permits to Syrian Families
Cyprus is offering Syrian families money to go back to Syria.
Families get money for each person to help them start over.
The main person earning money in the family can stay in Cyprus for up to three years to work and send money home.
This helps families who want to return but need help with money and a job.
The program runs from June to August.
Cyprus also sends back Syrian migrants trying to reach the island by boat.
Cyprus will offer financial assistance to Syrian families who voluntarily return to Syria.
Families will receive a one-off payment of 2,000 euros for one adult and 1,000 euros for each child.
The main income earner can stay in Cyprus for up to three years with a work permit.
The program aims to help families resettle and overcome financial reluctance.
