Ukraine Agrees to Peace Deal Framework
Ukraine has agreed to the main parts of a peace deal proposed by the US to end the war with Russia.
The US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll met with Russian officials in Abu Dhabi to discuss this deal.
Ukraine's leader, President Zelenskyy, said there are still some small details to work out.
Meanwhile, Russia launched many missiles and drones at Kyiv, killing seven people and injuring 21.
The attacks also disrupted electricity and heating in the city.
Romania sent fighter jets to track drones that entered its airspace from Ukraine.
The peace deal includes some ideas that Russia has wanted before, like limiting Ukraine's military and giving up some land.
However, Ukraine's leader has said he will not give up the eastern Donbas region.
The European Commission President warned that Ukraine's borders should not be changed by force and that any peace deal should not make Ukraine weaker.
Ukraine has agreed to the framework of a US-proposed peace deal to end the war with Russia, with minor details still to be sorted out.
Russian forces launched 22 missiles and 460 drones at Kyiv, killing seven people and injuring 21, and disrupting electricity and heating supplies.
Romania scrambled fighter jets to track drones that breached its territory near the border with Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy urged uninterrupted weapons and air defence supplies to Kyiv and called for joint diplomatic efforts to pressure Russia.
The US-drafted peace plan includes limits on Ukraine's military, abandonment of NATO bid, and ceding some territory, which Ukraine has previously rejected.
