Five Specialties Drive Over 50% of FY25 Revenue in NCR Private Hospitals
A report by BNP Paribas Research found that five specialties—cardiology, oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, and orthopaedics—made up more than half of the revenue for private hospitals in the National Capital Region (NCR) in the fiscal year 2025.
These specialties grew much faster than other areas, with revenues increasing by 8-33% each year from 2022 to 2025.
The NCR, which includes Delhi, Gurgaon, and Noida, is a very important area for hospitals because it has many hospital beds and attracts patients from nearby states.
Delhi is the most important market, especially South Delhi, which has many well-known hospitals.
Gurgaon and Noida also have potential for growth, with new hospitals expected to open.
The report shows that these specialties are key to the success of private hospitals in the region.
Cardiology, oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, and orthopaedics contributed over 50% of revenue in FY25 for private hospitals in NCR.
Revenue from these specialties grew at 8-33% CAGR between FY22 and FY25, compared to 15-20% overall revenue growth.
NCR is a key market for listed hospitals in India due to high bed capacity and revenue exposure.
Delhi is the most important healthcare market, catering to patients from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and other parts of India.
South Delhi is the most developed micro-market, while Gurgaon and Noida show potential for future growth.
