Karnataka: Woman Killed, Accused Dies by Suicide
A 30-year-old Dalit woman named Ranjitha Bhanasode was stabbed to death in Yellapur town, Karnataka, by a man known to her, Rafique Imamsab.
They were friends since school, but the accused was pressuring her to marry him.
When she refused, he allegedly attacked her with a knife in public.
Ranjitha was married with a 10-year-old son and worked as a mid-day meal helper at a government school.
After the murder, the accused was found dead by hanging from a tree in a forest.
