India's M&A Value Surges 37% to $26 Billion
India had a big increase in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the first nine months of 2025.
The total value of these deals went up by 37% to $26 billion.
This happened even though the global economy was a bit unstable.
In the third quarter of 2025, the value of deals went up by 19%, with 280 deals happening.
The automotive sector had the most value, followed by consumer products and retail, and life sciences.
Experts say India is a good place for these deals because the economy is growing and inflation is under control.
They think there will be more deals in the future, especially across borders.
India's M&A value rose 37% to $26 billion in Jan-Sep 2025 across 649 transactions.
Q3 2025 saw a 19% sequential increase in deal value with 280 M&A deals.
Automotive sector led in value, followed by consumer products and retail ($3.3 billion), and life sciences ($2.5 billion).
July 2025 had $11.8 billion in deals, driven by mid-sized transactions.
Strong GDP growth and controlled inflation create a supportive environment for sustained deal activity.
