Sri Lanka Launches Airport Temporary Driving Licenses
Sri Lanka now allows tourists to get temporary driving licenses at the airport.
These licenses are good for one month.
Both tourists and Sri Lankans who aren't also citizens of another country can get them.
However, they can't drive big trucks or tuk-tuks.
This new system is faster than the old way, making it easier for tourists to drive.
Sri Lanka began issuing temporary driving licenses to tourists at the international airport on Sunday.
These licenses are valid for one month.
Both foreign tourists and Sri Lankan visitors (who are not dual citizens) can obtain them.
Holders cannot drive heavy vehicles or three-wheeler tuk-tuks.
The new system offers a quicker process for tourists to drive themselves.
