Calcutta High Court Grants Bail Relief to Accused Teacher

A woman teacher was accused of pushing a disabled child.

She was also accused of attacking the child’s mother with a knife.

The Calcutta High Court gave her protection from being arrested immediately.

This is called anticipatory bail.

The judge noted that she was a working woman.

The judge also said she must cooperate with the investigation.

If she is arrested, she can be released after providing a Rs 10,000 bond.

She must also provide two people who each guarantee the same amount.
