Iran Demands IAEA Clarify Stance on Attacks Before Inspections
Iran wants the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to explain its position on the attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iran's nuclear sites last June before allowing inspections.
The Iranian atomic chief, Mohammad Eslami, says the IAEA needs to create a specific plan for inspecting the damaged sites, which include Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.
He also criticized the IAEA for not condemning the attacks and for being influenced by pressure from Israel and the U.S. The IAEA has inspected other nuclear sites in Iran but has not been able to visit the three bombed ones.
Iran had previously asked the IAEA to prohibit attacks on nuclear sites, but this request was ignored.
