A minister who is also a doctor talked about how doctors should treat patients.

He said tests like MRI scans are helpful, but doctors should also use their own knowledge and thinking.

He said tests should help doctors, not replace their judgment.

He was speaking at the launch of a new medical book about rheumatology.

Rheumatology is the study of diseases that affect joints and muscles.

The book helps doctors tell different kinds of these diseases apart.

It teaches doctors to find diseases early and avoid unneeded tests.

It also tells them when to send patients to a specialist.
