High Court Orders Notice Over Custodial Death Case
A mother named Gade Vijayalakshmi is fighting a case about her son’s death while he was in custody.
Her lawyer, Gudivaka Vasudevudu, says a different lawyer, Koganti Rithiwika, filed a petition without the mother’s permission.
The court said the mother’s lawyer must give notice to that lawyer.
The mother had given her lawyer the right to speak for her, but the other lawyer didn’t give the court the needed documents.
Two judges heard the case and decided to talk about it again the next day.
The whole thing is about whether the police should investigate the death more closely.
High Court directed mother’s counsel to serve notice on advocate Koganti Rithiwika for filing petition without mother’s approval.
Counsel Gudivaka Vasudevudu claims the CBI probe application was withdrawn without mother’s knowledge due to Koganti Rithiwika’s plea.
Mother Gade Vijayalakshmi had given Vakalat to counsel, but advocate did not provide NOC or case records.
Two-judge bench of Justice Ravinath Tilhari and Justice Ch Purushottam Kumar heard the case and adjourned to next hearing.
The case concerns the custodial death of son Gade Sai Krishna and a pending CBI investigation.
