Nigeria to Host First IIT Campus in West Africa by 2026
Imagine India is like a super smart school that wants to share its knowledge with the world.
They're building a new campus, like a branch of their top engineering schools, in Nigeria!
It's going to be in a special school in Nigeria and will teach students about engineering and technology.
The school will open in 2026.
India will help with teachers and the courses, while Nigeria will build the buildings.
This is part of India's plan to work with other countries and help them learn new things, just like they did in Zanzibar and Abu Dhabi.
Nigeria will host the first Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) campus in West Africa.
The campus will be located at the Federal Government Academy (FGA) in Suleja.
The initiative is part of India's global education strategy and aligns with NEP 2020.
The IIT campus is expected to begin in 2026, focusing on engineering, technology, and research.
India will provide faculty and curriculum support, while Nigeria will handle infrastructure and local logistics.
