Dipke Vows CJP Will Resume Protests, Rejects No-Protest Bond

Abhijeet Dipke leads the Cockroach Janta Party, or CJP.

He said he and other leaders would protest again to demand Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s removal.

Dipke said he had not signed a promise to stop protesting.

He and two other CJP leaders had been released after appearing before a magistrate in Delhi.

CJP’s legal affairs head said their release included a condition to maintain public order for a year.

While Dipke was in custody, his grandmother died.

Delhi Police said it told him and offered travel help, which he declined.

Dipke said he was told about the death but could not use his phone to contact a relative.
