IndiGo Cancels Flights, Offers Compensation
IndiGo, a big airline in India, had a lot of problems last week.
They canceled over 4,000 flights, which left many people stuck at airports.
To make up for this, IndiGo is giving ₹10,000 travel vouchers to people who were really affected.
These vouchers can be used for future flights within the next year.
The airline is also giving ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 to people whose flights were canceled less than 24 hours before they were supposed to leave.
The government told IndiGo to reduce the number of flights they operate by 10% to help fix the problem.
IndiGo's boss said they are sorry and are working to make sure this doesn't happen again.
They are also checking their systems to understand what went wrong.
The government is also investigating to find out why this happened.
IndiGo offers ₹10,000 travel vouchers to 'severely impacted' passengers from December 3-5, 2025.
Vouchers valid for 12 months and can be used for any future IndiGo travel.
Additional compensation of ₹5,000-₹10,000 for flights canceled within 24 hours of departure.
IndiGo's capacity reduced by 10% by the government following over 4,000 flight cancellations.
IndiGo's operations are improving, with over 1,900 flights daily and on-time performance above 80%.
