Bob Iger to Step Down as Disney CEO Before 2026

Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, has told his friends that he wants to leave his job before his contract ends in 2026.

He has been working hard and wants to spend more time on things he enjoys, like sailing and supporting a women's soccer team.

The company's board will decide on a new CEO in early 2026.

Two people who might take his place are Josh D’Amaro and Dana Walden.

Iger has been the CEO before, left, and then came back in 2022.

He made a lot of money last year, $45.8 million, from his job and other benefits.

The board is expected to meet soon to discuss who will be the next CEO.
