DMK Chief Stalin Challenges Conduct of Tamil Nadu Assembly Proceedings

DMK Chief Stalin Challenges Conduct of Tamil Nadu Assembly Proceedings

Tamil Nadu’s Assembly had a major disagreement between the ruling side and DMK legislators.

The DMK members were removed from the House after a noisy argument.

DMK leader M K Stalin said the Assembly was not being run with dignity.

E V Velu said some subjects discussed in the House should not have been raised.

He said one subject involved a court-related Enforcement Directorate case.

He also objected to comments about DMK leaders who were jailed during the Emergency.

The DMK asked the Speaker to remove the comments from the official record.

Velu said police and marshals then removed the protesting legislators.
