Rajasthan Targets 125 GW Renewable Capacity by 2030

Rajasthan Targets 125 GW Renewable Capacity by 2030

Rajasthan wants to produce much more clean energy by 2030.

It plans to increase renewable-energy capacity from about 50 gigawatts to 125 gigawatts.

Solar power currently makes up most of Rajasthan’s renewable energy.

Wind power is also important, especially in areas such as Jaisalmer.

Reaching the target will require more power plants, transmission lines and energy storage.

Companies could invest in solar panels, wind equipment, construction and maintenance.

Green hydrogen projects may also become part of the plan.

Government officials say they want to make it easier for businesses to invest.

Rajasthan’s plan would also help India work toward its national 500-gigawatt clean-energy goal.
