Netflix to Document Tragic Vanishing Cyclist Tony Parsons
Tony Parsons was a brave man who had beaten cancer and served in the Royal Navy.
He went on a long bike ride to raise money for charity, but sadly, he was hit by a drunk driver.
The driver and his brother hid Tony's body and tried to get away with it.
For a long time, no one knew what happened to Tony.
But eventually, the driver's girlfriend found out and told the police.
The brothers were caught and sent to prison.
Now, Netflix is making a show about Tony's story to tell everyone what happened and how justice was finally served.
Netflix is producing a documentary series about Tony Parsons, a Scottish cancer survivor and former Royal Navy Officer who was killed during a charity bike ride.
Parsons was hit by a drunk driver, Alexander McKellar, who hid his body in a remote peat bog with his twin brother Robert.
The twins were eventually caught when Alexander confessed to his girlfriend, who informed the police.
The twins were sentenced to 12 years and 5 years in prison respectively, and Parsons' family received a six-figure compensation payout.
The BBC previously aired a well-reviewed documentary about the case titled 'The Vanishing Cyclist'.
