Tamil Nadu Assembly Ejects DMK MLAs Over Vijay Allegations

Chief Minister Vijay accused a previous DMK government of corruption during an Assembly speech.

He referred to Enforcement Directorate documents and the Sarkaria Commission report.

Vijay said contractors were allegedly asked to provide party funds from government contracts.

He also named M.K. Stalin and Udhayanidhi Stalin as alleged beneficiaries, according to the article.

DMK lawmakers said these remarks should be removed from the official record.

The Speaker disagreed and allowed the remarks to remain.

The lawmakers then protested near the Speaker’s chair.

They continued shouting slogans after being told to return to their seats.

Marshals eventually led them out of the Assembly hall.
